Last updated: 17 October 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is responsible for your information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mad Mobile (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party. Our Information Officer is Adam Bowen (CEO). We are based in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. You can contact us at <a href=\"mailto:info@madmobile.co.za\">info@madmobile.co.za<\/a> or 076 068 6420.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What we collect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your name, SA ID number, cell number, WhatsApp number, email address and home and postal address.<\/li>\n\n<li>Your employer&#039;s details, your employee number, how long you have worked there, and the contact details of your HR manager or director.<\/li>\n\n<li>Copies of your ID, latest payslip and, if you give it, proof of address.<\/li>\n\n<li>The phone you choose and your contract details, and your online signature: the name you typed, the date and time, and the internet (IP) address and browser you used.<\/li>\n\n<li>Messages you send us through the contact form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why we use it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To assess your application and confirm your employment and salary details with your employer.<\/li>\n\n<li>To prepare, sign and manage your lease agreement and your salary deduction instruction, and to send that instruction to your employer.<\/li>\n\n<li>To contact you about your application and your contract.<\/li>\n\n<li>To meet our legal and tax obligations, and to prevent fraud.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We use your information because you asked us to (your consent when you apply), because we need it to enter into and carry out your contract, and because the law requires it. We do not carry out credit checks. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who we share it with<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your employer, to confirm your employment and to set up and run the payroll deduction.<\/li>\n\n<li>Companies that help us run our business, such as our website host and email provider. They may only use your information to provide their service to us, and must keep it secure.<\/li>\n\n<li>Authorities, when the law requires us to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our website and email providers may store information on servers outside South Africa. When that happens, we make sure the information is protected to a standard similar to POPIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How long we keep it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Copies of your ID, payslip and proof of address are deleted automatically 6 months after your application is completed, declined or withdrawn. We keep your application details and signed contract for as long as your contract runs and afterwards for as long as the law requires (usually five years for financial records).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How we protect it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uploaded documents are stored in a private folder that cannot be opened from the internet, and only authorised Mad Mobile staff can see applications. Your ID number is never sent by email. The website uses an encrypted (https) connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cookies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you open Track my application, we set one cookie so the page remembers your application for two hours. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your rights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email <a href=\"mailto:info@madmobile.co.za\">info@madmobile.co.za<\/a> and we will reply within 30 days. We may need to keep some information while your contract is running or when the law requires it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are not happy with how we handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator: <a href=\"https:\/\/inforeg.org.za\">inforeg.org.za<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Changes to this policy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may update this policy from time to time.
